Jamshedpur: Panic spread in the Bhola Bagan area under Govindpur police station on Tuesday morning after the body of an unidentified youth was discovered in a drain. Local residents spotted the body and immediately informed the authorities. Responding swiftly, the station in-charge of Govindpur police arrived at the scene with a team and took the body into custody for investigation.

The identity of the deceased is yet to be confirmed. While police are initially considering suicide, the condition of the body has led locals to suspect murder. The station in-charge stated that the exact cause of death—whether suicide or foul play—will be determined only after the post-mortem report.

Authorities are reviewing missing person reports from nearby areas and examining CCTV footage to identify the victim and understand the circumstances surrounding the incident. The body has been sent to MGM Medical College for post-mortem examination.
