Jamshedpur: A wild elephant entered the solid waste management plant at the airstrip complex in Chakulia late on Thursday night, causing extensive damage and sparking panic among night guards on duty. Chaibasa: A Jhinkpani trailer crash in West Singhbhum district has claimed the life of a tempo driver from Jugsalai in Jamshedpur. The accident took place on the main road near Jhinkpani police station when a trailer hit a goods-laden tempo from behind while attempting to overtake it as both vehicles were travelling from Chaibasa towards Jhinkpani. The deceased has been identified as Shakir Sadab, a resident of Jugsalai, Jamshedpur. Chowka: The Chowka dhaba robbery took place late on Thursday night when four criminals posing as customers allegedly looted around Rs 7,000 in cash and two mobile phones at gunpoint from Mount Ten View Dhaba and Restaurant in Ghatdulmi on the Chowka-Kandra main road in Seraikela-Kharsawan district. Jamshedpur : The excise department has intensified its campaign against illegal liquor in East Singhbhum district, with an illegal liquor manufacturing site busted in the forest of Kalajhor village under MGM police station on Thursday. The action was carried out on the directions of Deputy Commissioner Rajiv Ranjan, with a large quantity of liquor-making material seized and destroyed at the site. Chaibasa: The Railway Protection Force (RPF) rescued six minor girls from the Tata-Itwari Express at Manoharpur Railway Station in West Singhbhum district as part of ‘Operation Nanhe Farishte’.
