Chaibasa, Jharkhand: Marking the celebration of Jharkhand Foundation Day, the West Singhbhum Khel Premi Committee, Chaibasa has taken a commendable initiative to organize a one-day free health check-up camp for senior citizens. The camp will be held on November 16 (Sunday) from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM at Ravindra Bhavan, Chaibasa.
A preparatory meeting regarding the event was held on Saturday at Tagore Garden, Chaibasa, under the chairmanship of Committee President Dev Kumar Banerjee. During the meeting, detailed discussions were held on the camp’s arrangements, the team of doctors, and the overall management of the event.
President Dev Kumar Banerjee informed that the health camp is dedicated especially to senior citizens aged 60 years and above. Participants will undergo general health check-ups, including blood pressure, blood sugar, eye, bone, and heart examinations, along with other basic diagnostic tests. An experienced team of doctors will also provide free medical consultations.
He added that organizing such a health camp on the proud occasion of Jharkhand Foundation Day reflects the committee’s sense of social responsibility toward the well-being of senior citizens. The committee has urged all members and residents to bring their elderly family members and neighbors (aged 60 and above) to the camp to benefit from the free check-up and consultation.
Several members of the committee attended the meeting and pledged collective responsibility to ensure the success of the event. Separate teams have been formed for drinking water supply, seating arrangements, and medical assistance at the venue.
