Lohardaga, Jharkhand: Marking the Silver Jubilee of Jharkhand’s Foundation Day (Jharkhand@25), the Lohardaga District Administration organized a vibrant and energetic “Run for Jharkhand” event on Tuesday. The run was jointly flagged off by Deputy Commissioner Dr. Tarachand and Deputy Development Commissioner Dilip Pratap Singh Shekhawat, setting the tone for a day filled with unity, pride, and enthusiasm.
Celebrating 25 Years of Jharkhand’s Journey
The marathon began from the Collectorate Ground, passing through key city points including Kachahari Chowk, Powerganj Chowk, Bara Talab, Mission Chowk, and Barwatoli Chowk, before concluding at the Collectorate premises.
The event saw massive participation from youth, district officers, and government employees, all running together to celebrate the pride and progress of Jharkhand. The atmosphere was filled with energy and excitement as participants cheered for the spirit of a united and prosperous state.
DC Dr. Tarachand: “Fitness and Positivity Drive Development”
Speaking at the event, Deputy Commissioner Dr. Tarachand emphasized the importance of fitness and discipline in building a stronger state.
“Running not only keeps the body fit but also refreshes the mind and spirit. This energy and enthusiasm among the youth will contribute greatly to Jharkhand’s development,” he said. Dr. Tarachand urged citizens to incorporate physical activity into their daily lives, promoting the message of ‘Fit Jharkhand, Healthy Jharkhand’ and encouraging a culture of well-being and awareness.
Winners Felicitated; Officials Join the Celebration
After the run, the district administration felicitated the winners with certificates and awards. Among the dignitaries present were Additional Collector Jitendra Munda, District Transport Officer Jaya Sankhi Murmu, Mining Officer Rajaram Prasad, District Sports Officer Upvan Bara, along with several officials, athletes, and local participants who made the event a grand success.
Jharkhand@25: Series of Events Across the District
To commemorate 25 years of Jharkhand’s formation, the Lohardaga administration has launched a series of public participation programmes from November 11 to 14 under the Jharkhand@25 theme, focusing on culture, fitness, and community development. These celebrations aim to honor the state’s journey of growth, resilience, and cultural pride, while inspiring citizens to contribute actively to Jharkhand’s next phase of progress.
