BOKARO: The team of officers from Bokaro Steel Plant (BSL) created history by becoming the national winner at the prestigious 35th National Management Games. This national-level competition saw participation from over 150 major public and private sector organizations across the country, including SAIL, NTPC, Maruti Suzuki, IOCL, NHPC, L&T, and ONGC, across five tough regional preliminary rounds. Following this, the top 19 teams from across the country competed for the prestigious Champions Trophy in the Grand Finale.
In this tough competition, the team comprising Shri Rahul Ranjan Panda, Senior Manager of Hot Strip Mill (HSM), and Shri Ovais Ahmad, Senior Manager of CMM-CTS, from Bokaro Steel Plant, showcased excellent strategic thinking, business decision-making ability, and financial skills during the business simulation, earning the honor of becoming the national champions. NTPC teams secured second and third positions in the competition.
This victory is a matter of immense pride for Bokaro Steel Plant and the SAIL family, as this is the first time since 2010 that SAIL has won the national championship title at this prestigious National Management Games. Notably, in 2010 as well, the SAIL team that won the National Management Games title was from Bokaro Steel Plant.
This historic achievement strongly underscores the enhanced and continuously strengthening leadership capabilities, strategic excellence, and excellent management culture at Bokaro Steel Plant. The top management of Bokaro Steel Plant congratulated the winning team and said that this success not only reflects the individual skills of the officers but also reflects BSL’s continuous commitment to innovation, business efficiency, and operational excellence.
