Manoharpur (West Singhbhum): In a significant step toward rural housing development, Manoharpur MLA Jagat Majhi on Wednesday handed over newly constructed houses to beneficiaries under the Abua Awas Yojana. The event took place at Jilinggutu village in Nandpur Panchayat, where the MLA personally facilitated the Griha Pravesh (housewarming) of the families. The beneficiaries expressed immense happiness upon receiving their new permanent homes.
Addressing the gathering, MLA Jagat Majhi said that the Jharkhand government is committed to fulfilling the dream of providing pucca (permanent) houses to the poor and underprivileged. He urged the beneficiaries to maintain cleanliness and take proper care of their new homes while utilizing the government facility responsibly.
The legislator emphasized that the government’s top priority is to ensure that the benefits of welfare schemes reach the last person in society. He also called upon panchayat representatives and villagers to ensure transparency and public participation in all development works.
During the event, the MLA informed villagers about various government welfare schemes and encouraged them to take advantage of these initiatives.
Among those present were Manoharpur BDO Shaktikunj, District Council Vice-Chairman Ranjit Yadav, Deputy Chief Deepak Ekka, Mukhiya Sushila Saiweya, Bandhana Oraon, Manuel Beck, Vikram Singh, Chanchal Rawani, Satish Khakha, Panchayat Secretary, Rozgar Sevak, along with a large number of villagers, public representatives, and members of women’s self-help groups.
