Hazaribagh: On Tuesday, March 24, at 11:00 AM, under the leadership of Dr. Khem Lal Mahto, Program Officer of the National Service Scheme (NSS), USET, 42 NSS volunteers visited Old Age Homes and a School for the Hearing Impaired in Hazaribagh to understand the social fabric of joy and sorrow in society.

At the Old Age Home, students interacted with elderly residents who live away from their families. They listened to the stories of how these seniors came to reside in the ashram and empathized with their struggles. Volunteers distributed biscuits, fruits, and flowers, attempting to bring a moment of happiness to the residents.

Later, at 2:00 PM, the group visited the School for the Hearing Impaired, where they learned about the teaching methods used for students with special needs. Volunteers communicated with students through sign language and distributed samosas, engaging in meaningful interaction.

The program concluded with a visit to the residence-cum-ashram of Natural Healer Mr. Dinesh Khandelwal in Deepughara, where students learned about free medical treatments and were amazed to hear stories of patients who had recovered through his efforts. These experiences inspired the volunteers to contribute positively to society.

The program was actively supported by 42 volunteers, including Mahi Kumari, Archita Kumari, Neha Kumari, Aastha Kumari, Kartik Pratap, Abhinav Raj, Abhimanyu, Deepanshu, and others. The volunteers returned to their respective locations by 4:00 PM, concluding a highly educational and socially enriching day.
