Jamshedpur. The Potka Police have arrested an accused for allegedly enticing and abducting a minor girl from the Musabani police station area with the intention of marriage. Following a complaint lodged by the girl’s family, the police had registered an FIR at the Potka police station and initiated an investigation.
During the investigation, the police obtained information regarding the accused’s whereabouts. Subsequently, a police team conducted a raid near the Rankini Temple in the Potka police station area and apprehended Bhagoda Singh, alias Rohit Singh. According to the police, the accused is charged with enticing the minor girl and taking her away with the aim of marrying her.
Following the arrest, the police conducted the necessary interrogation and completed the required legal formalities. He was subsequently remanded to judicial custody on Saturday. The police are now investigating other facts related to the case and are proceeding with further action while considering all aspects, including the statement of the minor.
