Robbery plot failed in Icha village, villagers beat three suspicious youths and tied them to a pole

Rajnagar. In Seraikela-Kharsawan district, around 1 o’clock last night, villagers caught three suspicious youths roaming around with the intention of robbery in Icha village of Rajnagar block. The villagers first beat them up badly, then tied them to an electric pole. One youth’s hands were tied with a bunch. After this, all three were handed over to the police.

According to the villagers, the three youths were roaming around the village in a suspicious condition on a motorcycle. On suspecting their actions, the alert villagers surrounded them and caught them. During interrogation, they could not give satisfactory answers. On searching, an illegal country-made pistol and a live 9 mm bullet were recovered from a youth.

On receiving the information, Rajnagar police reached the spot and took the three youths into custody and took them to the police station.The Superintendent of Police said that the arrested accused have been identified as Virendra Singh Kuntiya, Pintu Kumar Rakshit and Akash Hembram. A motorcycle and four mobile phones have also been recovered from them. Investigation has revealed that criminal cases are already registered against the three in Seraikela and West Singhbhum districts.
