Patna, – The seat-sharing formula for the Bihar Assembly Elections 2025 within the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) has been finalized. The announcement was made on Sunday via social media by BJP Bihar in-charge and Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan.

Taking to microblogging platform X, Dharmendra Pradhan posted:
“We have successfully completed the seat-sharing process in a cordial atmosphere among NDA allies. BJP – 101, JDU – 101, LJP (Ram Vilas) – 29, RLSP – 6, and HAM – 6 seats have been allocated.”
He added, “All leaders and workers of NDA partners have wholeheartedly welcomed the decision. Bihar is ready – NDA government again!”

Dr. Sanjay Kumar Jha, National Working President of Janata Dal (United), also shared the update via social media, stating:
“BJP and JDU will contest 101 seats each. The seat distribution has been done harmoniously among all NDA allies. All leaders and workers are united and committed to ensuring a massive victory for Chief Minister Nitish Kumar once again.”
He echoed, “Bihar is ready – NDA government again!”

Vinod Tawde, BJP’s national general secretary and another Bihar in-charge, also posted on X, confirming that the NDA has organized and finalized the seat-sharing agreement in a spirit of unity and cooperation. He noted that all parties welcomed the decision with enthusiasm and are fully geared up for the elections.

No ‘Big Brother’ in NDA This Time

The seat-sharing announcement signals a significant shift – there is no ‘big brother’ in the NDA alliance in Bihar this time. For the first time in recent history, BJP and JDU will contest an equal number of seats (101 each). In all previous state elections, JDU, led by Nitish Kumar, had always contested more seats than BJP.

Meanwhile, Union Minister Jitan Ram Manjhi appears dissatisfied with the seat allocation. He reportedly demanded 15–20 seats but was granted only 6 – a reduction from 7 seats in the 2020 elections, where his party contested 7 and won 4. Despite his push for more, the number of seats was decreased instead of increased.

With the finalization of the seat-sharing formula, NDA partners are now gearing up for a united and aggressive campaign across Bihar, with the slogan resonating loud:
“Bihar is ready – NDA government again!”
